Matric Verification

Verify a Matric Certificate

Are you a recruiter, employer or labour broker?
According to the South African Qualification Authority (“Saqa”) “school-leaving certificates are the most faked qualification at 41%,” (Business Day 15th January 2015).

Is holding a matric certificate a requirement for employees in your organisation?
The employment of persons with fraudulently stated qualifications costs organisations thousands of rands every year; costs associated with training non-viable employees, disciplinary action and staff turnover.

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions FraudCheck has the answer for you.

How can FraudCheck help to protect me or my company and save me money?

Adding a FraudCheck Matric Verification to your FraudCheck ID online real-time verification will ensure that you are protected from the risks and costs of hiring individuals with fraudulent/non-existent matric certificates.

How does the FraudCheck platform work?

FraudCheck has partnered with Umalusi to verify and supply accurate information on matric qualifications. Combining a FraudCheck Matric Verification with our FraudCheck ID online real-time verification confirms the validity of the South African ID number provided and whether there is a matric qualification associated with that ID number.

FraudCheck Matric Verification may take up to 48 hours to return results. Qualifications awarded prior to 1992 may however have a longer return time.

What information will I get?

FraudCheck Matric Verification in combination with FraudCheck ID online real-time verification confirms the following:

  • The ID number provided is a valid ID number and belongs to that person; and
  • Whether the applicant has successfully matriculated (Passed Grade 12)

That sound easy, what does it cost?

For this critical check you will add a mere 6 credits per check to your FraudCheck ID online real-time verification.
Note: additional charges may be incurred to verify qualifications awarded prior to 1992.
